A quick read.... Very well written.....
I can't stand books that depict women as needing a man to spank them because they need to be disciplined like a child. It's strange that the man never needsthe disciplin. If this was presented as a sexual need then it wouldn't bother me. I would say go for it, but this just comesacross as the poor pitiful woman who must be spanked with a belt in order for her to remember not to cuss or get angry aka" "bratty". I guess the men in these stories are just perfect and do not need beating with a belt. Or maybe this is just someone' s excuse to promote a reason fo abuse.
Luke and Maddie are an older couple with grown kids out of the house. They are each lonely after a divorce and a death and need another person to care for. I like the fact that they aren't young anymore but have lived their lives and still find fun and excitement after the first glow of love. Luke and Maddie meet through an online dating service and get to know each other slowly, before ever meeting in person. Luke lets Maddie know that he expects a domestic discipline relationship and Maddie agrees to give it a try. Though Maddie has never been spanked before she trusts Luke to care for her and not abuse her. Luke is an honorable man and loves and cares for Maddie with his whole heart. Maddie learns a few lessons along the way and she and Luke create a loving and intimate relationship that will last them for the rest of their lives. That is a true love story and I really enjoyed the book!
I love that it was just two normal people practicing a D/s relationship. It showed the pain of punishment and the reconciliation afterwards! Hot! Sexy! And it felt real.
