Axman Werebear is the fifth book in the Saw Bears series. It is written in third person with a high amount of explicitly detailed sexual content and adult language throughout. A short to medium length book. I would recommend that one would read the other 4 Saw Bears books and the Bear My Soul book from the Fire Bears series before you read this one.

Bruiser we know from all the other books – though we don’t know him well, he was just in the background of the stories. We find out at the end of Bear My Soul that he has 4 half brothers and made a deal with Damon to marry Damon’s daughter to save those bothers. His back story is revealed, and we find out how honorable he really is. While it is not really necessary to read Bear My Soul before this one you will get a better understanding of what happened and Bruiser’s background if you do. Deim is Damon Daye’s daughter and unaware of her fathers plans of marriage. She seems a little stuck up at first and detached but it is a front that is quickly dropped as the heartbreaking realization of this marriage comes to light. It is a gut-wrenching story as it unfolds but ends good.

This is the story where I begin to hate Damon… future stories don’t help reform him in my opinion. It is also were we start to see some inconsistencies in the overall world. In the past stories cheating is something not done by mated/bonded pairs, yet we are told that Bruiser’s dad cheated on his mate and had Bruiser out of that affair – this is explained in a future book Bear the Burn but not in this series. Also, time to places, the distance to town, to the jobsite and Damon’s house for example are different than in the last books. Not a huge deal and only really noticed when you binge read the series. Otherwise the book was edited well and moved the story arch along great. Again, these stories are told in a way that doesn’t really date them… so they are easily read in one sitting and can be reread over and over.

Thank you, T.S. Joyce! Axman Werebear is the perfect "cherry on top" addition to the Saw Bears series. All members of the crew have found their mates and are content and happy, just the way we as readers like. Horace "Bruiser" Keller and Diem Daye complete the Ash Crew perfectly in this paranormal romance set in the Montana Mountain trailer park.

This delicious read begins with an agreement made between Damon Daye, a dragon shifter and Bruiser a member of the Ashe Crew. He agrees to marry the dragon’s daughter, sight unseen if Damon will help his family. Bruiser did not know what he was getting himself into, but all he cared about was helping his half-brothers protect their crew. Damon Daye provided the strength and power to help him succeed in protecting his brothers’ crew and now it was time for Bruiser to marry his daughter.

When Bruiser first meets the stoic Diem he isn't sure what he's getting into, but as the walls she has built around her heart begin to crumble and he gets to know her, he and his animal know she will be theirs forever. Diem didn't have any clue about the agreement that her father had made with the bear shifter, or that she would be getting married the same day she met him. Although she had always known that she was expendable to her father and he looked at her as a breeder, not a daughter. She thought she was losing her freedom by marrying the bear, but learned quickly she had gained her life back instead.

T.S. Joyce is amazing. We revisited the gang and their new little arrival was an extra plus! This is a quick and extremely satisfying read. Another great story added to my library. Can't wait to see what this fantastic author will give us next.

Diem is raised in an emotionless home by a father who only cares about getting a grandchild even though he is well aware that it will cause her death. Bruiser had the kind of uncomfortable childhood caused by his mother not surviving childbirth and his father not telling his wife about the child before his untimely death. Her father blackmails Bruiser into marrying Diem, but doesn't even tell her until he brings her to the marriage site. Amazingly, they find a connection and she begins to enjoy life with him. There are more problems, but the Ashe Crew is a strong family. This book is just as fascinating as the others in series and I really liked it!
I'm so glad that Mackenzie Harte is narrating all of the books in series as she is excellent!
Axman Werebear is book 5 in the series. The Ashe crew is a group of sweet misfit grizzly bear shifters who have formed a family. The book names are a little silly but I actually enjoy these quick and easy to read paranormal stories.

This was Bruiser’s and Diem’s story. Diem’s dad is Damon Daye, the dragon who owns the land that the Ashe crew work on. When Bruiser asks Damon for help, in gratitude Bruiser agrees to an arranged marriage to Diem. What should not have worked, does and these two end up happy.

On a side note, the author has two characters with similar names. Kellen is a main character from a previous book and Bruiser’s last name is Keller. It was often confusing when both names were used repeatedly. I’d have to stop for a second to recall which character was being referenced.
