I read Morgan Kearns' Fade to Black first and knew I had to have the second book in the series. From the beginning, I felt personally involved with the characters, developing a bit of a love hate with her yummy main male character, baseball player Grayson Pierce. I also found that I immediately wanted the best for sportscaster Jane, the female main character of the book ... and I hoped that best would be Grayson (even if he could be a total jerk and made me question the sanity of that desire from time to time). Once again, Morgan takes us into the behind the scenes world of news reporting, which I enjoyed very much. We also get to see appearance by characters from the first book. To say Morgan's books are wearing me out is an understatement - because I tend to stay up way too late reading them! I'm already counting the days until book 3 in this series is available.

Follow a sportswriter & a baseball player as they go through feelings if the past and what is going on now.
Morgan's in it to win it was amazing!!! She portrayed love and desire without being nasty. The love affair made me yearn for more between Grayson and Jane
Good read that seems to be a bit of a stretch at times but the characters are so likable that it only adds to the story rather than taking away from it.
This sweet romantic tale forgiveness, perseverance and love is a must read for lovers of adult romance. I could not put it down once I picked it up. Morgan has a wonderful writing style that is sufficiently descriptive and has the ability to pull a reader into the world she created. I am a fan!
This was a pretty good story. It was over all captivating but also aggravating. I wish there was more given on his reason for why he said what he said for prom. It felt like there should have been more said for that. It was a good story and I would recommend it to others to read.
I really loved this second book in Ms. Kern's Deadlines and Diamonds series. I really wondered how she was going to make the whole switch from the news station to the baseball diamond and she did it wonderfully! I thought the first book was great but this was even better.
In It To Win It by Morgan Kearns is a great adult romance. Grayson is a professional baseball player with a bad reputation. Jane Alexander is a sports newscaster at KHb-Salt Lake, the same place Kate and Rich worked in Fade to Black. In fact, a lot of the characters from Fade to Black make a guest appearance in this novel.

Jane and Grayson have history. They had feelings for one another in high school, but somewhere along the way things went bad. In It To Win It begins 15 years later when Jane's news assignment is to follow Grayson's baseball team during playoffs. When they see each other for the first time after 15 years sparks, tempers and emotions fly.

I started In It To Win It directly after Fade to Black, and I would recommend the same thing to readers. Fade to Black was an intense and emotional romance. In It To Win It was a lighter, sweeter romance. In my opinion, it was exactly what I needed following a more intense novel.

Like I have said before, I am not easily shocked! Well, In It To Win It definitely surprised the heck out of me. I was reading along and then I was like, "No freaking way! I didn't see that coming!" Which is one of my favorite things!!

The only thing that bugged me in this novel was Jane's character. In the beginning of this novel, she was really emotional and rude, but she does make up for it in the end. Also, a lot of Jane and Grayson's problems could have been avoided with a little communication.

I gave In It To Win It by Morgan Kearns 4 STARS (3.5 STARS). I recommend this novel to adults looking for a sweet romance with some twists. I strongly recommend this novel to adults who have read and enjoyed Fade to Black.
